Melderverse, a Pittsburgh-based technology company that creates immersive digital experiences for the social, gaming, and consumer ecosystems, is kicking off the prelaunch of the Realm of Warminster, the premier blended reality role-playing game, with a series of events, promotions, and giveaways.
The first event will be held on June 25, 2022 in conjunction with National Free RPG Day and the Four Horsemen Comics and Gaming at the Mall at Robinson (100 Robinson Centre Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15205). Doors open at 11 a.m.
Pittsburgh-based epic fantasy author J.V. Hilliard, whose novels serve as inspiration for the Realm of Warminster, will be on hand giving away signed copies of The Last Keeper, Book One of the Warminster Series.
Random books will be stuffed with a golden certificate that can be redeemed for Limited-Edition Prelaunch Packages that include an early access pass, virtual land, digital items, in-game currency, and more.
Participants can also win the opportunity to be an exclusive member of a group that will collaborate with J.V. Hilliard and the Melderverse team on the design and gameplay of the Realm of Warminster.
“I am thrilled to be partnering with two great organizations. Melderverse is leading the charge to re-imagine the next evolution of the web and Four Horsemen Comics & Games remains a regional leader in next generation gaming,” said Mr. Hilliard. “I think their customers will love the adaptation of the Realm of Warminster and I hope they enjoy the challenge of their first quest.”
The Realm of Warminster is a fantasy simulation and adventure game that melds the digital and physical worlds using Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to create a unique role-playing game experience.
To begin the epic journey, a player personalizes their character avatar and starts a series of tasks and quests to create and grow their kingdom. Quests may be performed in either the digital or physical world.
Using a mobile phone, players can explore physical locations and landmarks to battle villains, solve puzzles, collect digital items, and other adventure related tasks. “By combining the power of both augmented and virtual reality, players can travel back and forth from the real and digital worlds to perform activities, socialize, and grow their kingdoms,” said Jay Resio, CEO of Melderverse. “We have created a one-of-a-kind gaming experience that integrates with daily life to provide a new level of entertainment for gamers, RPG enthusiasts, and fantasy-adventure fans.”
Players can also socialize with other players and invite friends to join their kingdom and collaborate on quests. The Realm of Warminster will be available on VR headsets, desktops, and mobile devices. Limited-Edition Prelaunch Packages, filled with exclusive benefits and rare virtual items, are available at melderverse.com while supplies last.
